James Dobson and Gary Bauer, president of American Values, a Christian right lobbying group, talked politics on today’s “Family Talk with James Dobson” radio show. The show was designed to influence listeners on how to vote Tuesday for mid-term elections.
“Horrendous decisions have been made over the last two years,” Dobson said before he and Bauer launched into criticizing Democrats and President Barack Obama.
But perhaps the most startling comment was Dobson’s comparison of himself and Bauer to Old Testament prophets-seers.
He said both predicted back in the 1980s the rise of the homosexual agenda. They also predicted the rise of socialism in America. Now Dobson and Bauer believe their prophecies have come true.
“You and I saw and said publicly and privately where this nation was headed,” Dobson said, “and most of what we were concerned about has come to pass. We have in some ways been like the sons of Issachar (of First Chronicles), who understood the times and knew what to do, but we had a time of getting other people to know what to do.”

I would not go so far to call him a prophet, but he was right about the direction this nation was headig.
Shedim is more like it, considering the rotten fruit of Dobson’s labors.
This is a little off the wall even for Dobson, perhaps on bordering on dementia.
Well, don’t forget…he claims to be “without sin.” This newest statement should prove once and for all that Herr Dobson is certifiable!

While he was worrying about teh gays, did he also stop in the 1980s to think about whether or not the illegitimacy rate in this country would explode as it has done? Perhaps if he had and focused on that issue, we wouldn’t have so many children suffering the fate that often comes with illegitimacy. Or has he decided – as so many have – that heterosexuals are categorically exempt from exhibiting any moral behavior as evidenced by our near total acceptance of divorce and illegitimacy. Those two issues harm more people than homosexuality ever could; yet, there are never any constitutional amendments on the ballot addressing those two important topics.
Kenny – he does address the illegitimacy rate in this country and the divorce issues.
Pastor Roy – How? What constitutional amendments has he proposed or supported to curb these destructive behaviors?
Pastor Roy – You might want to compare Dobson’s comments about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy and Mary Cheney’s pregnancy. He took Cheney’s pregnancy to espouse his views on gay parenting. However, with Bristol’s pregnancy his comments focused on her being a good mother because she didn’t seek an abortion. First, that attitude is indicative of Heterosexual Hypocrisy. If you’re heterosexual and you don’t murder your unborn child then you’re lauded as being a good mother. That’s all it takes. Secondly, his not using Bristol’s pregnancy to espouse his views on parenting is ironic. Most of the studies that Dobson uses againt gay parenting – didn’t study gay parents. The studies looked at married heterosexual parents compared to single/divorced heterosexual parents. Thus, his “evidence” speaks far more to Bristol’s situation than it does Cheney’s. Yet, his statement on Bristol doesnt discuss the numerous challenges that illegitimacy placeson the child. Heterosexual Hypocrisy.
Dobson may well have a side interest in illegitimacy but he focuses the majority of his efforts on other “issues”.

The reason he has been involved with constitutional amendments issues. Is the fact the GLBT Community have been trying to change the standard by which our Nation views marriage.
I remind you it is the GLBT Community that started this fight over marriage.
Kenny – Dobson radio show deals more with family issues such as illegitimacy, then dealing with GLBT Community. The problem is the only one that gets reported by the media is when he talks about the issues of the GLBT Community .
