Springs woman extending run of Armageddon ads

August 9th, 2010, 1:46 pm · 8 Comments · posted by

Marie Exley of Colorado Springs plans to extend the run  this week of her 10 Armageddon ads appearing on bus benches in Colorado Springs. The ads were supposed to run only through October, but she’ll have them run six and a half months longer, Exley, 31, said.

Exley has received donations from people enabling her to keep the ads running till May 20, 2011, the day she believes is prior to Armageddon and Christ’s return. The ads read: “Save the Date!: Return of Christ, May 21, 2011.”

Read my Gazette story and a ”Pulpit” blog post on Exley here and here.

Marie Exley

Exley is currently going  to various cities in the United States with friends handing out tracts that declare that Christ will return May 21, 2011. People she’s met in California, New York, Delaware and Pennsylvania have agreed to help pay some $2,650 to pay for the Springs ads.  Cost each month to run the ads is about $400.

Exley has become somewhat well-known since my story ran weeks ago about her financing the Armageddon ads. A couple weeks ago she appeared on the “Gary & Dino Show,” a podcast featuring Gary Zabransky and Dino DeMilio based in Los Angeles.

“They spent time mocking me,” Exley told me, “but that’s OK. I held my own. I didn’t get flustered.”

Exley wants to spend the months before Christ’s return spreading the message worldwide about the coming Armageddon. But she needs money first, since she’s unemployed and trying to support her sick mother in Colorado Springs.

How will Exley spend the remaining eight months? Will she live it up, taste the fruits of life while she can?

Not at all.

“I’ll live out of my (shoulder) bag,” she said. “I want to work for the Lord. It is not about living it up for me anymore.”

How sure is she Armageddon will happen May 21? “One hundred percent,” she said. “I have no doubt.”

But how sure is she that she’ll be taken up to heaven by Christ and not left behind to suffer fiery torment? “I am 90 percent sure I won’t be left behind.”

Guess that means It’s ok to refi the McMansion, buy His and Hers Cadirac Escapades, quit work and go on vacation….

Just make sure the ARM bubble is set to explode on May 22, 2011…. after the rapture.

And all the sheeple said: “Yipeee!”

When christ doesn’t return on May 21, 2011, will she then see religions for what they are: myths and ancient stories? Sadly, I doubt it, a new date will doubtless be calculated, which will also come and go without the miraculous second coming. Religions are dangerous delusions that start wars, and justify torture, hate, fear, and genocide. Just open to any page in the old testament.

She’s sure it’ll happen exactly then – nonbelievers are determined it won’t ever happen – what if both are wrong?

What if she made an error converting the Julian & Roman Calendars and it all comes down May 19 ?!?

  • The man Marie Exley is following has departed from the gospel of Christ, saying that Christ’s death and resurrection were merely a “demonstration” of a secret atonement and resurrection made before the foundation of the world (that he claims was not revealed by God in the Bible until recently to him (Harold Camping). In my own study, checking Mr. Camping’s teaching out IN THE BIBLE, like he tells his listening audience to do on his Open Forum radio program, i’ve found definitive Biblical proof that his revelation is absolutely, 100% false. Mr. Camping claims that his demonstration gospel that he now preaches, was revealed to him by the LORD in the Bible, when in reality, he’s received nothing of the sort. God’s word definitively shows this, and this is why i can speak out publically with confidence, against a man with over a half century of Bible study experience. The definitive Biblical proof is absolutely, 100% conclusive and can be found on this page:

Notice the words “third day” and how “third day” ties into the word “scriptures” in relation to the gospel of Christ. The disciples preached the gospel of Christ (Christ crucified and risen on the third day) and that was definitely not a misunderstood lie of their own minds. No, they preached the word of truth, the gospel (revealed to them by Jesus Christ Himself). A gospel that is the power of God unto salvation, the details of which, were prophesied in the scriptures and fulfilled at the time of the Cross and subsequent resurrection on the third day.

(Ephesians 1:13) In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

(1 Corinthians 1:17, 18) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the PREACHING OF THE CROSS is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the POWER of God.

(Romans 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL of Christ: for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

(Galatians 1:6-9) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER GOSPEL: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Mr Camping is preaching another gospel and this deceptive lie is to be avoided like the plague. I hope everyone out there buying into this lie will read my Blogger page with verses that definitively show how Mr. Camping’s demonstration gospel is absolutely false and has nothing to do with God’s truth at all. See for yourself, the definitive Biblical proof.

  • [...] history of such predictions, and the fact that he hasn’t been right yet doesn’t seem to diminish people like this woman.  Question: Should  Harold Camping be sued May 22,2011for fraud? Posted by [...]

    Really jc?

“Religions are dangerous delusions that start wars, and justify torture, hate, fear, and genocide. Just open to any page in the old testament”

It really bothers me that wackos like jc here actually exist. If you do not want to believe, then don’t. But to write things like this make me want to believe even more. The world is going nuts out there, and you are leading the pack!
